Welcome to the March FCAW newsletter. What a big month this is for the sport of wrestling. Whether you "hung tough" just to make it through the season, or made it to the championships, we applaud you. It is a time of building character, memories, and relationships that will be with you for a lifetime. This month we also celebrate the biggest event in our Christian faith – Easter. We pray that you have experienced the amazing love of our Savior Jesus Christ. Through him, we've been given grace, forgiveness, an eternal relationship with God, and an unparalleled purpose for everything we do. That's the "good news" of Easter. God bless.

Team 300 Challenge
Team 300 is a group of supporters who donate $25/month or $300/year to the ministry of FCAW. This group provides a financial base for many of our initiatives throughout the country such as Coaches Clinics, Champions Breakfasts (at both high school and college tournaments), 24 Hours With God Wrestling Camps, Leadership Academies, and more. During the month of March, we are making a push to reach 150 team members. We are currently at 98. Please consider helping us reach our goal by becoming a Team 300 member during the month of March

Keep Wrestling in the Olympics
In a surprising announcement by the International Olympic Committee to drop the sport of wrestling in the 2020 Games, many in the wrestling community are looking for ways to help reverse the decision and have their voice heard. We would like to help with that effort. Keeping wrestling alive and well in future Games is not just a matter of pride or ego. It is a matter of history. Wrestling was one of the original sports in the ancient Olympics in Greece, and continued to be a core sport when the modern Olympics were introduced in 1896. You can make a difference in reversing this decision. Go to  KeepWrestlingintheOlympics.com to find out how you can help.

International Mission Trip to Ukraine

Young men, ages 16-20 who are competitive wrestlers and committed Christians, are welcome to apply. The trip will be from June 16th through July 1st; applications are due on March 28th. If you have questions, contact Bill Gifford, FCA Wrestling Director in Georgia. Additional information:

More Than the Nails
Easter Devotional

Easter presents us with a solemn depiction of the final hours of Jesus Christ. The late Pastor Lee Roberson, founder of Tennessee Temple University (Chattanooga, Tennessee), presented a poignant message on "What Held Jesus to the Cross." It was more than the nails. it was more than the weakened state Jesus was in from the events that led up to the crucifixion. As you read Pastor Roberson's message, we hope you will be filled with a new appreciation of the sacrifice our Lord made and what Easter means in your life today.  READ MORE

Six Questions with Rich Bender
Rich Bender has served as the Executive Director for USA Wrestling since 2001. He is also on the FCAW Board of Directors. We recently caught up with Rich to ask our top "6 Questions."

1) How do you stay strong in your relationship with the Lord?
(RB) By keeping the Bible handy and making a conscious effort to take time to break during busy times to thank God for the incredible blessings he has given. I also participate in a men's Bible study group.
2) What is something not many people know about you?  MORE
