LIVE This Weekend: National Preps '14
All across the country this weekend, wrestlers will be competing in their state wrestling tournaments respectively: Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri, etc. -all hosting state tournaments Thursday-Sunday . But one tournament stands above all others this weekend: National Preps. Headlined by the best high school team in the country, #1 Blair Academy, and top ten ranked Wyoming Seminary, this weekend's Prep Nationals features more nationally ranked wrestlers than any other post-season tournament (outside of PA States).
Over half of last year's Prep National champions are returning, and some weight classes make for redemption stories as we excpect to see a redux of many National Preps finals matches from last year -my personal favorite: #5 Myles Martin v. #8 Josh Llopez for the 1,032,078th time.
