Wildcards Announced for World Team Trials

The Phase 1 wildcards have been given out for the 2014 World Team Trials.

4 Frestylers as well as 2 Greco Roman wrestlers have been awarded Wildcards for the trials.

The recipients include 3 time All American and 2 time finalist, Nico Megaludis. Nico is coming off a 3rd place finish at NCAA’s. Megaludis, a rising Senior at Penn State won a University National title over Zach Sanders last year.

At 86 KG Enock Francois, a medalist at NYAC as well as a 7th place finisher at the 2013 US Open was also given a Phase 1 Wildcard. An additional berth went to 97 KG Jack Jensen who trains for the Army World Class Athlete Program. Wisconsin big man and skilled freestyler, Connor Medbery was given a wildcard as well. The Badger will get to wrestle in front of a home crowd on his own college campus.

The Freestyle World Team Trials will go down starting on May 31st in Madison Wisconsin. Greco gets rolling June 13th at Daytona Beach, Florida.
