Greco isn't exactly Jo Jo Smith's forte, but that didn't mean that Larry Early was going to cut him any slack.

At Junior Duals this summer, the arena was buzzing about the impending match-up between two of the nation's premier talents.

Jo Jo led 2-0 on a caution in to the second period before Larry Early scored not one, not two, but three 4-point moves leading to a 13-2 tech and this reaction:



Unfortunately, we didn't get to see them meet in Freestyle or in either style at Fargo.

But we're making it happen at Who's #1.

Early comes in as a three-time state placer in the ever-tough Illinois big school division, with a title and two finalist appearances. And although he didn't meet Smith in Folk or Free this summer, he does own the only FS meeting between the two - a 6-5 decision at FILA Cadets in 2013.

Smith, the son of one of the most heralded American wrestlers of all time, John Smith, has won two titles in three trips to the state finals. He placed Top 4 at Fargo Freestyle for the last three straight years. 

This has all the ingredients to be the most intense matches at WNO on October 18th.
