As we approach our 6th FloNational Tournament we will once again be bringing Stud Alerts of all the top competition from around the country that will be scraping for the deepest all-class folkstyle national championship in the country.

Last year, Rudy Yates wore a fake mustache as he made his entrance for the final against Yianni Diakhomihalas. But he’s had a year to grow a real one along with adding some new tricks to his repertoire.

The returning runner-up, who is ranked third in the ASICS FloRankings is fresh off his second state title run which he recorded a pair of tech falls, a major and a 7-2 decision in the final to take home the gold.

                            

Yates exploded onto the scene this season after going undefeated in Minnesota at The Clash, which included knocking off top-ranked Mitch McKee.

The junior from Carl Sandburg, IL will be returning with his eye on the 126-pound belt.
