The last time that Kendric Maple and Jon Morrison met, the match didn’t leave the first period after Maple secured the first takedown with a quick ankle pick (gif 1) followed by locking up a trapped arm gut wrench (gif 2) to get the technical fall. Maple’s quick hands are his biggest weapons when he’s on his feet. He even snagged the ankle (gif 3) of World Team Member Reece Humphrey when they met in the US Open finals.

For Morrison to get the best of Maple this time around, he’s going to have to manufacture some of his own action by creating angles (gif 4) making the former Sooner move his feet (gif 5) and committing to his shots (gif 6).

Both these guys can be absolutely deadly on their feet. But one thing is for sure, if Morrison hangs out in front of Maple for very long, it could result in another early ending (gif 7).
