Could the next Nathan Tomasello be wrestling at the Flo Tulsa Nationals this weekend?
Absolutely.
Nathan Tomasello started wrestling when he was in grade school and at the time was playing other sports like baseball, football and soccer. It was not until he was in junior high when his youth coach approached him and asked him if he wanted to be the best at wrestling.
If you know anything about Nathan Tomasello it shouldn't surprise you that he jumped all over the opportunity. Nathan recalls his coach telling him, "If I wanted to be the best guy and if I was really serious I would put more time and go to these tournaments like Tulsa, like Reno, like the Big Horn Nationals and Liberty Nationals."
And that is exactly what Nathan did. He traveled across the country to seek out all of the best competition and make himself better.
I would say it paid off. The Ohio State Buckeye won the NCAA crown as a freshman, was 3rd last year and has since moved up to 133 where he is currently undefeated and ranked #1.
This weekend marks one of the biggest youth tournaments of the year with the Flo Tulsa Nationals taking place in Tulsa, OK.
