Thought we saw the last Folkstyle match from David Taylor? Think again! David Taylor has announced he will be competing in the 2015 Midlands Championships!
Taylor made the announcement over social media this evening:
David is coming off of a 2nd place finish at the 2015 Senior Nationals at 86kg. DT didn't specify which weight he'd compete at, so we are left to only speculate. His new competition weight is 189 pounds, so you'd figure we would see him at either 184 or maybe even 197! The list of Midlands contenders came out today.
Here's who David could potentially face as he looks to win his first ever Midlands title:
184
#8 T.J. Dudley (Nebraska)
#3 Jack Dechow (Old Dominion)
#4 Nate Brown (Lehigh)
#7 Sammy Brooks (Iowa)
#9 Blake Stauffer (Arizona State)
#12 Hayden Zillmer (North Dakota State)
#16 Abram Ayala (Princeton)
#17 Pete Renda (North Carolina State)
Andrew Romanchik (Ohio)
Jeff Koepke (Illinois)
#20 Nicholas Gravina (Rutgers)
197
#4 Nathan Burak (Iowa)
#12 Phil Wellington (Ohio)
#16 Aaron Studebaker (Nebraska)
#6 Reuben Franklin (Bakersfield)
#11 Anthony Abro (Eastern Michigan)
#13 Nathan Rotert (South Dakota State)
#17 Michael Boykin (North Carolina State)
#14 Brett Harner (Princeton)
Brad Johnson (Oklahoma)
#19 Jeric Kasunic (American)
Nick Bonaccorsi (Pittsburgh)
Cody Crawford (Oregon State)

Taylor made the announcement over social media this evening:
