Coming Soon: Jo Jo Smith In An Oklahoma State Singlet
A day after finding out Kaid Brock’s season came to an end for Oklahoma State, the Cowboys will be getting an immediate shot in the arm at 157-pounds.

Joe Smith, the son of OSU Head Coach John Smith, will be getting the nod the rest of the way as the OSU starter.  Since the beginning of the year we’ve have considerable speculation as to whether we’d see Smith start.  Chance Marsteller has manned the post primarily, but has not given OSU the production needed.

The news was first reported by Win Magazine.

Smith has 2 losses this season to #1 Isaiah Martinez and #3 Jason Nolf.  Smith has knocked off top 10 Luke Smith as well as ranked opponents Dylan Cottrell and Joe LaVallee.

The first match we will likely see Smith is January 15th against West Virginia where he will take on #12 Dylan Cottrell of West Virginia.  Smith beat Cotrell 8-2 earlier this season.

This change will give the Cowboys the following line-up moving forward:

125 - #5 Eddie Klimara
133 - Gary Wayne Harding
141 - #1 Dean Heil
149 - #16 Anthony Collica
157 - Joe Smith (will likely be ranked in the top 6 or so)
165 - #1 Alex Dieringer
174 - #6 Kyle Crutchmer
184 - #17 Nolan Boyd
197 - Austin Schafer/Andrew Marsden
285 - #5 Austin Marsden
