Jordan Burroughs was golden once again. JB took the mat for the first time since winning the World Championships in 2015. The 4 time World/Olympic Champion teched his way through the very competitive Yasar Dogu in Istanbul, Turkey. Interestingly, it was at this tournament where Jordan Burroughs suffered his first international loss to American Nick Marable.
To win Gold, Burroughs had to beat Zelimkhan Khadjiev, a Junior World Champion from France. Khadjiev, who was 5th at the 2015 Senior World Championships, actually scored the matches first 3 points before Burroughs took over. Watch the match below:
