Anzor Boltukaev vs Murad Gatsalov
The much anticipated finale at Russian Nationals between Anzor Boltukaev and Olympic Champion Khadishmourad Gatsalov.
Well, that didn't take long.
Wrestling fans followed the twists and turns for Russian Nationals for three days, and the best was saved for last.
The bracket was to feature three of the top four ranked wrestlers in the world with #1 Murad Gatsalov, the 2004 Olympic Champion, #3 Abdusalam Gadisov, the 2014 World Champion, and #4 Anzor Boltukaev, who won Euro's this year.
As part of the Dagestani boycott, Gadisov (the runner-up to Kyle Snyder at 2015 Worlds) sat out.
Gatsalov, who won this year's Medved while out-placing Snyder (3rd) and Gadisov (5th) and Boltukaev, who beat both Snyder and Jake Varner to win this year's Yarygin, made their way to the finals.
