If I had to describe the first day of Cadet Greco Duals in one word, it would have to be: reckless. Watch DAY 2 LIVE on Flo today at 9AM EST.
Everywhere you looked, someone else was getting tossed. I'm not sure I've ever seen so many five-point throws in one day. There were definitely too many big moments on the first day of the tournament to capture here in entirety, but we did find some serious gems.
Take a look a few of the biggest #GrecoBombs from the first day.
1. Brody Teske didn't waste any time in this match. After securing a body lock, it was a done deal as he picked up an angry five-point throw before wrapping-up the match with a trapped arm gut wrench to get the technical fall.
2. Lawn chair alert: Maryland's Josh Laubach picked up one of the prettiest five-point throws of the day when he tossed Tennessee's Tony Wilson so badly his toes touched the mat above his head. Laubach may have struggled a bit, but once he got to rear standing, he was cleared for takeoff.
3. Jace Punke ignited his teammates with a trapped arm toss. Like the throw by Laubach above, Punke took full advantage of gaining rear standing position and finished with a b-e-a-utiful back arch to get the fall in about 20 seconds.
