It's going to move furiously. Cadet quarterfinals will be lit tomorrow morning and then followed quickly by the semifinals to see who gets to chase their dream on the big stage.
To get ready, we've outlined our Can't Miss Matches for Thursday Morning.
Watch Live HERE at 9AM
170 - Travis Wittlake, OR vs. Joel Shapiro, IA
Wittlake is quite possibly the best 170lber in America and is the Cadet World Team Member. This match is last on our list because Wittlake is a clear favorite. But it appears here because Shapiro, who was one of the best kids in the country coming up through Junior High, has shown glimpses of jumping levels recently.
88 - Wyatt Yapoujian, CO vs. Cullan Schriever, IA
Mark these names down. You'll be reading these names for quite a long while. Two of the best on the Roller circuit the last few years.
100 - Kellyn March, SD vs. Ridge Lovett, ID
Lovett already has a Fargo AA under his belt as the Runner-Up last year. March is a Top 10-ish type kid entering high school.
126 - Job Greenwood, CO vs. Jaden Abas, CA
Part of a dynamite crop coming through for Colorado, Greenwood is one of the better kids you haven't heard of. This match with Abas will be a dandy. Abas just had a quality win over nationally ranked Malcolm Robinson today.
152 - Tyler Dow, WI vs. Anthony Jackson, MN
These are two guys that will be in the national rankings for quite awhile. Dow got in with a double AA performance in Akron. Jackson was a state champ this year as a freshman in Minnesota.
106 - Joe Heilmann, NJ vs. Greg Diakomihalis, NY
I love this match-up and though there are six other really tough guys, I think the winner here takes home the stop sign. Heilman was 5th in single class NJ, while Greg D. won a title at 99lbs. as just an 8th grader.
120 - Theorius Robison, CO vs. Andrew Alirez, CO
Remember that bumper crop from Colorado I talked about. Here comes some others. Robison just won GR and is #10 on the FR. Big Board. Alirez is #23.
Ok, ok. I can't help myself.
I'm breaking a cardinal rule: never project things when there at a tourney with so much talent. I don't really know if these bouts will materialize, but if they do, we'll be licking our chops for these semifinal bouts -
113: #10-Travis Ford-Melton, IL vs. #1-Adam Busiello, NY
138: #6-Will Lewan, IL vs. #10-Brock Hardy, UT
220: #4-Cohlton Schultz, CO vs. UR-Tyler Curd, MO
