Results
100: Malik Heinselman vs Brenden Garcia
Colorado showed just how talented as a pair of their studs battled in the first final of the day. Garcia heated things up with a nasty footsweep, but Heinselman is too battle-tested to get rattled.
106: Jason Holmes vs Rayvon Foley
Holmes showed just how good he is this weekend and it all culminated in a grinding 7-2 win over Rayvon Foley.
113: Nic Aguilar vs Dylan D'Emilio
Nic Aguilar definitely turned some heads as he picked up the upset win over #4-Dylan D'Emilio. It was an awesome battle that showed Aguilar's grit and will to win.
120: Gavin Teasdale vs Dalton Duffield
The Greco Champ Dalton Duffield showed he's got throws for days as he tossed Teasdale to his back and nearly getting the fall. But somehow Teasdale fought his way back.
126: Austin Gomez vs Paul Konrath
OK, so, Austin Gomez is a bad dude. He came through with a huge throw to get the fall in the first period.
132: Ian Parker vs Taylor LaMont
Ian Parker sent the Michigan fanbase into a frenzy as he got the close win over Greco and returning Freestyle champion, Taylor LaMont.
138: Kanen Storr vs Nick Lee
This was the best match of the finals. I do not have any words to describe the incredible wrestling that took place in this match.
145: Anthony Artalona vs Jarod Verkleeren
It was a grinder of a match. Artalona and Verkleeren are extremely evenly matched and it showed in this one.
152: Griffin Parriott vs Zander Wick
Griffin Parriott was on another level this weekend. He was absolutely unstoppable as he won the titles in both styles.
160: Jake Allar vs Max Wohlabaugh
Allar definitely was ready for freestyle. He didn't get the job done in greco, but he wouldn't be denied in the finals against Wohlabaugh.
170: Canten Marriott vs Owen Pentz
If you didn't know who Canten Marriott was before, I'm sure you do now. He had an impressive run to a title over a guy in Owen Pentz that had a great tournament as well.
182: Owen Webster vs Kevin Parker
Owen Webster started his run dominantly and ended it in the same fashion.
195: Ben Darmstadt vs John Borst
Umm, Ben Darmstadt is not human. Outside of his final, where he dominated Borst, he did a highlight reel's worth of work.
220: Keegan Moore vs Sammy Colbray
Sammy Colbray won double titles this weekend, but it was his huge throws that had everyone screaming "ooooohhhh."
285: Gannon Gremmel vs Anthony Cassioppi
Gannon Gremmel is a beast and it showed. Cassioppi put up a good fight but in the end it didn't matter. G. Gremm wasn't leaving without a stop sign.
So why not relive all the excitement one more time.
