Day 1 of Olympic Wrestling is in the books. Russian wrestler Roman Vlasov was in the driver's seat in his match. Til the lights went out, that is.
At the end of the 1st period, Vlasov had a lead, but was choked out by Bozo Starcevic with a head pinch and was nearly pinned before the ref noticed Vlasov was out and the officials pulled him off. Vlasov went on to win his 2nd Olympic title later this afternoon.
