Wrestling lifestyle brand launches exclusive team wear line featuring Under Armour products and signs deal with Flowrestling to be the official apparel partner of Who's #1

FlipsWrestling arrived on the wrestling scene in 2013, providing support to a group of NCAA champions, Hodge Trophy winners and Olympic-level champion wrestlers, and distributing Flips Audio's innovative line of headphones/speakers to wrestling fans. Three years later, Flips has a widespread and well-followed social media platform, and now sells some of the best wrestling apparel in the sport, led by its Under Armour "with the mats" collection. Today, in a move designed to better reflect its current company and product offerings, FlipsWrestling announced a company rebrand, and will now be called "ScrapLife." The company, which now counts Basch Solutions as an equity steak holder, will focus 100% of its efforts on marketing and selling top notch wrestling apparel to the community.
Said ScrapLife's Don Beshada: "From the beginning, Flips was more than about selling headphones. It was about connecting with the wrestling culture. That culture is unique, and it is a lifestyle, in and of itself. We believe that the apparel that we're now brining to the sport matches those qualities. That's why we chose 'ScrapLife' as the new name. Scrap means to 'compete fiercely.' And, I cannot think of a better way to describe a wrestling lifestyle."
Aside from offering the best quality retail apparel in wrestling, ScrapLife has also launched an exclusive team wear line, featuring Under Armour products that showcase a unique "with the mats" logo. Those products will be very visible this season, as about 40% of last year's final top 20 high school teams will be wearing it, as will elite clubs Titan Mercury and Finger Lakes.
To top it off, the team wear line is the official apparel sponsor of one of wrestling's showcase events: Flowrestling's Who's #1. And, as part of that sponsorship, competitors will be wearing the exclusive Under Armour "with the mats" team line, in a package that showcases the quality of the products and the "clean" nature of the designs.
"The team wear program is a big hit," says Beshada. "The quality of the product sells itself, and our clients really like the addition of the mats to the garments. They think it gives it an aura of exclusivity. And, when you have the privilege of getting great feedback from the best programs and coaches in the country, it certainly helps everything that you're doing."
All new Under Armour "with the mats" apparel is now available on www.scraplife.com. For the first time ever, the familiar Flowrestling "black and green" will also be available for sale, starting on October 2, 2016. ScrapLife plans additional announcements in the coming weeks.
