As we approach the one year anniversary of the of the popular FloFilm TERRY, it is only appropriate that we share some more Terry Brands goodness with you. The original release date for the film was December 30, 2015 and for this reason we will be featuring a new "Terry Tuesday" clip for the rest of 2016.
In this particular clip Terry talks about the 1996 Olympic Trials series against Kendall Cross. While Terry Brands was obviously in a war with Kendall Cross for a spot on the Olympic Team, Brands never panicked of felt like it was a match that he couldn't win.
Terry does recall in instance from his career when he was wrestling an Iranian at the World Cup. He was down 4-0 and went out of bounds near coach Dan Gable when Gable said to him, "He Brands you better get your head out of your ass." That ended up working and Terry was able to pull off the comeback.
But Terry had been in a whole many times in his career so this was nothing new for him. He addresses the differences in his head between in danger of "not being able to win" vs. "being in danger of losing".
If you have not yet seen TERRY, you should really do yourself a favor and watch it. You will like it, even if you don't like Terry Brands.
TERRY Brands: The Film chronicles the decade long Olympic journey of legendary wrestler Terry Brands, offering unprecedented access inside the life and mind of one of the sport's most iconic and enigmatic figures.
This retrospective examination of Terry's successes and failures is set against the exhilarating backdrop of the 2015 US Open in Las Vegas as Terry guides protege and Olympic hopeful Anthony Ramos in his second year of international competition.
