DI Stock Report: Who Climbed The Rankings The Most?
What Division I wrestlers have raised their stocks the most in the first month of the season?
Live On Flo This Week: Dec. 16-18 Reno TOC | Dec. 16 Cornell at OK State | Dec. 16-17 KC Stampede | Dec. 16-18 GR/WFS US Open | Dec. 17-18 Beast Of The East | Dec. 18 Virginia Tech at WVU.
A lot can happen in a month. Here are the wrestlers who in a matter of a few weeks have drastically raised their ranking stocks.
There are a number of ways you can have rapid shifts in your ranking. The obvious way is to win all your matches and beat good opponents. Duh. But in many of these cases, wrestlers reach very respectable rankings by merely winning the matches they should. Every week there is a laundry list of upsets and top 10 guys falling to the unranked. Many of the big climbers beat who they should and will pick up a decent win along the way. That on its own can get you to the top 10 in some weights.
