Top 7 Most Anticipated Powerade Matches
We are inching closer and closer to the 50th Powerade tournament where the best wrestlers in the country will look to take home some hard fought hardware.
Live On Flo This Week: Dec 29-30: Mt Mat Madness | Dec 29-30 Powerade | Jan 1-2 Southern Scuffle
We are inching closer and closer to the 50th Powerade tournament where the best wrestlers in the country will look to take home some hard fought hardware. Gavin Teasdale will be looking for his third straight title, but it's not going to be easy. No. 1-ranked Spencer Lee will also be in action this weekend along with a great deal of the nation's highly touted high school stars.
Make sure you don't miss any of these guys in action LIVE this weekend.

7. 285: Ronald Tucker, IL vs Brendon Furman, PA
Tucker came in as an unseeded freshman last season and took home the title. Is it possible that the Cadet Fargo runner-up can do it again? Maybe, but he will have a tall task in front of him as Super 32 champ Brenden Furman will look to get in his way. Furman moves well and isn't afraid to mix it up which could cause some problems for Tucker. Don't let these big guys fool you, they can definitely scrap.
6. 170: Trent Hidlay, PA vs Dale Tiongson, MD
Tiongson, a prep National runner-up, just had an unfavorable finish at the Beast of the East tournament and will be looking to get some redemption. Hidlay is off to a pretty nice start to the regular season, but did have an upsetting showing at Super 32 where he was third. Both guys would love to put on better shows this time around and when they meet I'm expecting a high octane battle between Tiongson's positioning and Hidlay's hook.
5. 220: Noah Adams, WV vs Francis Duggan, PA
Duggan had an epic battle with top-ranked Chase Singletary at the Beast and if he shows up with the same grit, he will be a lot to handle for FloNational champ Noah Adams. However, Adams has more of an attacking style and will look to put that into action against Duggan. This will be a very high level match-up between some tough big guys.
4. 152: Cam Coy, PA vs Shane Griffith, NJ
Griffith's last time out he suffered an upset loss to Julian Ramirez in the Beast finals so bouncing back with a big win is surely on his mind. This is the first time we will see Coy since he lost at Who's #1 to David Carr, but you know that he is coming to battle. He surprised us a bit as he opened up his offense at WNO, so if that's who Griffith gets to face, things could get interesting in a hurry.
3. Jake Woodley, PA vs Gavin Hoffman, PA
If you're looking for a battle between big men, look no further. This one might even go to overtime where a takedown on the edge seals it for either guy. These Woodley has looked pretty tough so far this season despite coming up short in the Beast finals. Hoffman is just solid. I don't know how else to describe him. He's just a solid guy and it's going to be hard for anyone to get by him.
2. 145: Frankie Gissendanner, NY vs Jarod Verkleeren, PA
A lot of explosion against a guy who can scramble and has a deadly super duck. It's going to be interesting to see if Frankie G's horse power is too much for Verkleeren, who is pretty dynamic on his feet. Look for some fireworks if these dudes toe the line against each other.
1. 120: Beau Bartlett, PA vs Gavin Teasdale, PA
This is one you won't want to miss and should be the last bout of the night in my opinion. Bartlett has proved that he is the real deal as he came out on top of a tough Ironman bracket to get his season off strong. Teasdale is already an established stud. However, he did take an upset loss at Who's #1 to Jordan Decatur where he lost his top-ranking. This will be a great test for the youngster Bartlett, and a nice way to rebound for Teasdale who will be seeking his third straight Powerade title.
