​After Penn State crashed Ohio State's party in front of the biggest Buckeye dual crowd of all time, the Scarlet and Grey will see the Scarlet Knights in a makeup match that was originally scheduled for Sunday, January 8th but was postponed due to snow. Tonight's dual can be seen on Big Ten Network and BTN2GO.

Ohio State wins to improve to 9-2 this season, 5-2 on the year in conference duals. The close loss leaves Rutgers with an 11-4 record, 5-3 in Big Ten meets.

141 - #6 Anthony Ashnault (RUTGERS) vs #12 Luke Pletcher (OHIO STATE)

1st period: ​PA vs Jersey to start us off. Pletcher staying in a four point stance, Ashnault working a 2 on 1 early. No score in the first minute. Pletcher cutting off the mat. Out of bounds. Off a restart, Ashnault swing single, fights and gets the two on the edge. Ashnault riding tough as they go towards the edge. Ashnault rolls through the tilt and gets all four. 6-0 lead and just under a minute of riding time.

2nd period: Pletcher on top, gets Ashnault flat and goes bottom leg turk. Ashnault out for the 7-0 lead. Under a minute, Pletcher shooting now. Ashnaut hanging out, letting Pletcher come to him. Fans want stalling, but no call and it remains 7-0 with 41 of riding time for Ashnault.

3rd period: Neutral to start. Quick conversion on the single leg and into an arm bar. Over a minute of RT and a 9 point lead for Ashnault. Riding time is locked, out of bounds with 16 to go. Last second escape but Ashnault still gets the major 10-1.

149 - #16 Ken Theobold (RUTGERS) vs #5 Micah Jordan (OHIO STATE)

1st period: Collar tie straightaway. Mickey goes dump and gets the early 2. Theobold out after 25 seconds. Back to the collar tie. Slideby for Micah and another takedown. Mickey cuts him and immediately shoots, finishes for 2. Trying to ride Theobold a little now. Escape, 6-3 under 30 to go. Single on Theobold's right leg and Mcikey finishes for an 8-3 lead, 1:12 of riding time heading into the second.

2nd period: Jordan on bottom, fighting off the leg of Theobold. Coach Scott Gooddale having a word with the ref, 1:07 to go. Thinks they missed a caution, RT is down to 0:19 for Micah. Extended review here. Back to action. Theobold had a tilt, but no backs. Mickey's struggles on bottom continue as he gets ridden out.

3rd period: Neutral start, Mickey goes ankle pick for another takedown. Riding time not a factor, Mickey in a 3/4 nelson. Escape under a minute, Mickey needs  a takedown to tie this dual. Long scramble now that is blown dead as Theobold torqued the knee. Takedown right at the buzzer gives Jordan the major.

157 - #14 John Van Brill (RUTGERS) vs Josh Powell (OHIO STATE)

1st period: Powell in on a leg early, Van Brill trying to work into a crackdown. Blown dead. Van Brill's turn to shoot, gets it elevated and finishes to the mat.  Van Brill very active on top, tight waist knocks Powell off balance and goes cross wrist, but can't get backs. On the edge before 2 could be counted. Power half off the restart, allows Van Brill to throw in a turk and ride out the period.

2nd period: Van Brill on bottom, up to his feet. Out and still holds 1:41 of riding time. Gets a go behind for the 5-0 lead. Ref holding four after the bar tilt, lets it go and a 9-0 lead with over 2 of RT. Stalling against Powell as Van Brill goes back to the bar and into a hammerlock. Another bar tilt and a 13-0 lead for Van Brill. Seals the tech with another turn and Rutgers leads 9-4.

165 - Anthony Pafumi (RUTGERS) vs Cody Burcher (OHIO STATE)

1st period: Burcher shooting off the bat, takes a while to finish. Stalemate with 2:12 to go. Pafumi working a reversal and is able to get it, tied up now. Burcher clears the wrists and gets an escape. Burcher in on Pafumi's right leg, who squares up and gets the stalemate. Couple shots but no scores. Period ends in a collar tie.

2nd period: Pafumi starts down and Burcher is in danger with a leg in up on his feet. Restart, Pafumi gets out. Short break there, back to action and a minute to go. Pafumi catches Burcher's shot and clears out. Burcher runs through a double, avoids getting tossed on the highflyer. Burcher warned for stalling after hanging on the head too long. Second caution against Burcher. Trying to rider out the period and is able to, over a minute of RT for Burcher

3rd period: Burcher starts down. Up to his feet, brought back down but tries to hit a switch. Shut down by Pafumi, RT no longer a factor. Burcher escapes and leads 6-3. Under a minute and Burcher keep space, but Pafumi goes around behind to make it 6-5. Late escape and hi c attempt, but Burcher goes front head. Burcher hangs on to the head long enough for a 7-5 win.

174 - Jordan Pagano (RUTGERS) vs Justin Kresevic (OHIO STATE)

1st period: Ref wants them to work center as they head toward the edge. Pagano shoots as Kresevic tries to spin through it. Pagano gets the takedown and out of bounds. Escape and handfighting, under 90 seconds to go. Pagano working a front head and Kresevic fights it off. Restart and back to handfighting. Kresevic controlling Pagano's right hand, feet slowing down. Period ends 2-1.

2nd period: Kresevic goes down. Pagano with boots in, wants power half, building up RT. Ref calling for action as we are 45 seconds in. Kresevic is flat on the mat. Under a minute, still working power half. Stalemate, 32 to go, 1:41 of riding time for Pagano. He rides out the period, boots in almost the whole time.

3rd period: Pagano starts on bottom. Taking his time as he had over 2 mins bankned. Kresevic fighting wrists hard, but Pagano is out. Kresevic head fakes, Pagano responds with a shot and Kresevic having trouble hitting the leg pass. Pagano has the leg hooked and gets the two. 5-1 lead and RT is locked entering the last 40 seconds. No boots this time as Pagano works a cross wrist, but Kresevic hit for stalling again. 6-1 win for Pagano.

184 - #12 Nick Gravina (RUTGERS) vs #8 Myles Martin (OHIO STATE)

1st period: Our third ranked vs ranked match today. Martin finishes a double just after 30 seconds in and they head out of bounds. Martin controlling wrists off the restart, but eventually cuts him. Maryin headfaking now. Gravina fights off the Martin single and into a fronthead but out of bounds. Martin has Gravina hopping around as he brought the single up. Pulling him back to the center, and finishes to the mat for a 4-1 lead. Out of bounds with six to go.

2nd period: ​Neutral to start the second. Collar ties early, Gravina tries a shuck, stalling against him. Martin working a body lock. Martin wants an inside trip on double unders and Gravina shoots him to the edge. Martin drops to a single and tries to get behind. Gravina has a cradle locked on the edge. Martin rolls it back, no control and the crowd doesn't like it. Fought through the cradle, dropped his ribs and turned in. Gooddale upset as well.​ Tom Ryan talking to the refs now in between periods.

3rd period: No takedown after the review, Gravina on bottom and out of bounds. Martin goes thigh pry and moving Gravina around the mat as they go out of bounds again. Martin staying around perpendicular as they are once again on the edge and out of bounds. Riding time is locked. Gravina out and trailing 8-2 after that Martin turn on the last exchange. Martin shooting trying for the major. Runs out of out time though and wins 9-2.​

197 - Matthew Correnti (RUTGERS) vs #4 Kollin Moore (OHIO STATE)​

1st period: Typical Kollin Moore, shooting and scoring off the whistle. Escape and another attack, second takedown inside of 30 seconds. Another escape and 4-2 a minute in. Stalling Correnti, duck go behind for another two and cut again. Moore keeps attacking. He tries to go dump but gets stuck on the mat and Correnti scores as they go out of bounds. Moore out and it's a 7-5 lead entering the second.​

2nd period: Moore goes down. Goes to a sitout and fighting wrists, scoots out. Duck to a double and another takedown. Moore cuts him under a minute to go. Pace finally slowing down here and it's 10-6.

3rd period: Correnti out quick, another quick penetration from Moore to go up 12-7. Internet went out for a sec, but it appears Moore got two more takedowns, including one as time expired plus riding time to get the major to put the Bucks ahead.

285 - Razohnn Gross (RUTGERS) vs #1 Kyle Snyder (OHIO STATE)

1st period: No surprise, Kyle shooting early. Gross trying to work a front head and stalemate as Snyder fixes his headger. Low single, lifts behind the knee, spins and Snyder is ahead 2-0. Another takedown, plus stalling, as Snyder cuts Gross here, 4-2 lead. Failed Gross shot and go behind, 6-2 Snyderman. Snyder working underhook and another go behind.

2nd period: Optional start as Gross is up and out. Another takedown and escape, 10-5 now. Stalling Gross, low double fought off. Takedown on the edge, 13-5. Another optional start, under a minute to go. Snyder is difficult to keep up with, seventh takedown for him. Up to 19-8 here, getting close to a tech as we enter the third.

3rd period: Neutral and quick shot by Snyder. Fought off by Gross but he eventually finishes. Snyder working a front head, another stalling for Green. 22-8 and Snyder may be going for a mixer/whipover/cow catcher but stalemated. Riding time locked, Snyder starts on top but cuts him. The Olympic champ finishes another takedown for tech to extend the Buckeyes' lead. Cool to see the crowd give him a standing ovation.

133 - Scott DelVecchio (RUTGERES) vs #1 Nathan Tomasello (OHIO STATE)

1st period: Last match of the night. Tomasello's double is stopped, but runs though his trademark lefty hi-c, gets the turk and a 2pt nearfall. Up and out, halfway through the period. Tomasello heavy pace, tries a go behind, but DelVecchio catches him and runs through a double to make it 4-3, out of bounds. Multiple cautions here and the crowd doesn't like it. Tomasello escapes finally with a minute to go. NaTo's pace slowed down a little but is still shooting. Another left side hi c for a takedown. Claw ride out of bounds. Rides out the period, 58 seconds of riding time and a 7-3 lead.
 
2nd period: DelVecchio starts down. Out of bounds 24 seconds in. Optional start, up to their feet. NaTo finishes another shot and keeps DelVecchio flat on the mat, out of bounds 37 to go. Optional start again as Nathan starts looking for the major. Tomasello using his reach as a ranger finder and level changing. Stalling againt Rutgers as we see another hi c, lots of little choppy steps, full 360 and big finish to the mat for NaTo.

3rd period: 11-5 with riding time about locked. Fingers stalemated. 12-5 after a stall and DelVecchio in on a shot now. NaTo staying calm and working on the grip. Feeding him hips and stalemate. Tomasllo has the major with RT but still 20 to go. A final shot by Tomasello, finishes it. 15-5 major and the Buckeyes win.
