Former Iowa State recruit No. 8 Ethan Smith has found a new home. The now two-time Maryland state champion announced tonight on Twitter that he has committed to Ohio State.

Smith was third at FloNationals a year ago where he beat Michigan recruit Layne Van Anrooy twice, and had a third place finish last fall at Super 32 with his lone loss coming in overtime to former Iowa State commit, and now Minnesota commit, Jake Allar.

Smith's commitment comes just days after the Buckeyes picked up a commitment from the top-ranked 106-pounder in the nation, Malik Heinselman. Ethan Smith is currently No. 53 on the Senior Big Board.
