Moody vs Lizak is getting interesting in the 3rd. In a wild one after some stoppage time for official review in the 3rd, Lizak wins 10-8.

Two All-Americans going at it on mat 2, Darian Cruz and Dylan Peters. And Cruz gets the fall in the first!

The unretired All-American Conor Youtsey taking on no. 15 seed Drew Templeman. And Templeman gets the victory 4-3!

Freddie Rodriguez takes out Vito Pasone, a guy he's lost to in the past, but Freddie wins by tech this time. 

All the seeded wrestlers advance to the second round at 125 except for Suriano, who's forfeit paved the way for Buffalo's Kyle Akins. No. 2 seed Joey Dance and Gabe Townsell still need to wrestle, as Townsell is getting his break after winning the pigtail. 

And finally Joey Dance gets a tech and that makes it a clean sweep (more or less) for the seeded wrestlers.

Mitch McKee with a big pin for Minnesota. The freshman makes short work of Rico Montoya of Northern Colorado.

Josh Alber gets in on the pinfest with a first period fall of his own. The Northern Iowa Panther advances over MSU's Austin Eicher.

ODU's Alex Madrigal medical forfeits to Illinois' Zane Richards, so another unfortunate scratch at this tournament.

No. 16 Kevin Devoy, perhaps still hampered by an injury he suffered at at the EIWA's, is the first seeded wrestler at 133 to be bounced to the consolation round.

Cory Clark get's a big major decision, and Iowa picks up bonus points, with a victory over Stanford's Conner Schram.

Okie State goes 2 for 2 with another pin at 133, by Kaid Brock over Scott Delvecchio. 

Lantry wins a close one over Fehlman, 3-1, so Buffalo sends two wrestlers to the second round. 

Joey Palmer takes out no. 15 Jamal Morris from NC State in a mild upset.

The next weight class kicks off with Rutgers' Anthony Ashnault, who jumps out to an early lead over CMU's Mason Smith. The Scarlet Knight advances with an 8-3 win. 

Jimmy Gulibon getting revenger over Javier Gasca. Gasca pinned Gulibon in the Big Ten Tournament but Gulibon is leading 11-1 in the third. Gulibon will win by tech, and the sizable PSU contingent gives him a loud ovation. 

Dean Heil, meanwhile, scores just enough points to beat the tough Brock Zacherl of Clarion, 5-4.

Last year's finalist but this year's no. 10 seed Bryce Meredith races to an early lead over Oklahoma's Mike Longo. Meredith wins it 12-4.

Jared Prince from the Naval Academy gets a victory and will see Dean Heil in the next round. 

No. 2 and No. 3, Kevin Jack and Joey McKenna both out on the mats right now. They both advance without too much trouble.

Minnesota's Tommy Thorn survives Timmy Box from Northern Colorado, 10-5.

The Penn State crowd is really starting to get into it now. They shower Vincenzo Joseph with approbation as he takes out Stanford's Keaton Subjeck, reversing the results from a match early in the season.

Jadean Bernstein takes out his EIWA rival, no. 12 seeded All-American Casey Kent, 7-3, in an upset. 

Brian Realbuto is hitting petersons against Devin Skatzka of Indiana. He rolls his way to a victory. 

Northern Illinois gets a big pin as Trace Engelkes hits a headlock hip toss on Princeton's Jonathan Schleifer.

Iowa's Sammy Brooks works hard for a 7-3 victory over the tenacious Nicolas Gravina of Rutgers. 

Big Ten rivals Bo Nickal and Myles Martin are both wrestling simultaneously at the moment. Now just Martin is wrestling, as Nickal gets a lightening quick tech to advance and score precious bonus points for Penn State. Myles Martin takes the entire seven minutes and "only" manages a major decision against Garrett Hoffman. 

Nolan Boyd gets the Cowboys back on track with a win over Wisconsin's Hunter Ritter.

Olympic Champion Kyle Snyder (maybe you've heard of him), now on the mat as the heavyweight division gets under way. Snyder puts on a takedown clinic and tech falls Jake Gunning of Buffalo, scoring approximately thousands of points in the process.

UPSET ALERT: NC State's Mike Kosoy takes out Nebraska's Collin Jensen. This is Jensen's fourth trip to the NCAAs. If the Cornhusker wants to make it to the podium for the first time he'll have to do it the hard way, coming all the way back from the beginning of the wrestlebacks. 

Thomas Haines gives the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven a second rounder, as he beats Maryland's Youssif Hemida. 

Austin Schafer helps the Cowboys keep pace by winning his first round round bout against Finnish transplant, Jere Heino of Cambpell.

It's almost break time as we wind down the last three 285 matches. Most of the crowd is already on their way to get lunch. 

No. 2 Medbery of Wisconsin will put away Princeton's O'Donnell. Goodhart of Drexel and Butler of Stanford in tie breakers, in our last matches of the round. Medbery wins 14-1. Goodhart vs Butler needs another set of tie breakers. After 11 minute of wrestling, Butler edges out Goodhart by one point.
