Sometimes a lot of upsets happen at the NCAA tournament. Let's go through a whole slew of them that happened during Session II on Thursday night. These do not include 10 over 7 or 9 over 8 matches.

149lbs (15) Kenny Theobold, Rutgers SV-1 9-3 over (2) Anthony Collica, Oklahoma St

WATCH MATCH Probably the biggest swing in the team race came when Theobold ended up on top of this scramble and still won after Oklahoma State's challenge. The fifth year senior will have redshirt freshman Max Thomsen of UNI in tomorrow morning's quarters.

141lbs (14) Tommy Thorn, Minnesota Fall 7:57 over (3) Joey McKenna, Stanford

WATCH MATCH Another won with a long challenge, Thorn finished after about 30 seconds of being in on a shot in overtime. Virginia's George DiCamillo also won by pin and is Thorn's next foe.

184lbs (12) Drew Foster, UNI 4-3 over (5) Zach Zavatsky, Virginia Tech

So much for that all important Match 370 quarterfinal for the team race. Foster will try to keep the Panther Train rolling against Nolan Boyd, who barely escaped a 3-2 win over Chattanooga's Bryce Carr.

125lbs (12) Sean Fausz, NC State 3-1 over (5) Tim Lambert, Nebraska

I mentioned this as one of my matches to watch in Session 2, and it was accurate. Fausz takes the rubber match to set up a dual with Darian Cruz of Lehigh.

184lbs (11) Emery Parker, Illinois 14-9 over (6) Myles Martin, Ohio State

WATCH MATCH Parker turned around an 11-3 dual loss by putting the defending champ on his back twice. On Friday morning, he'll now try to avenge two losses this year to Sammy Brooks.

174lbs (11) Alex Meyer, Iowa 7-5 over (6) Ryan Preisch, Lehigh

It may not be perceived as an upset when a returning All American beats a guy who has never been on the podium, but the seeds and crowd reaction tell us it is. Meyer sets up for a Bo Jordan quarter, whom he narrowly lost to 3-2 in their dual in January.

133lbs (11) Bryan Lantry, Buffalo 5-3 over (6) Dom Forys, Pittsburgh

Lantry went from being the four seed at MACs to now being one match away from earning All American status. He gets Kaid Brock coming off a tight one with Mitch McKee.

285lbs (US) Conan Jennings, Northwestern 8-0 over (6) Austin Schafer, Oklahoma St

The Cowboys took another big hit in the team race with this one. Jennings has third seed Ty Walz of Virginia Tech next.

149lbs (US) Alex Kocer, SDSU 5-4 over (9) Justin Oliver, Central Michigan

Kocer rides his hot streak like Jennings, Clagon and Fox with the nail biter over Oliver. If he wins his next one, against Zain Retherford, Kocer will just get his own upsets article all to himself.

157lbs (US) Bryant Clagon, Rider 6-5 over (9) Joshua Shields, Arizona State

The only guy to win three matches on the day, Clagon is trying to send out Gary Taylor on a high note. Clagon runs into Jason Nolf first thing Friday morning.

157lbs (US) Paul Fox, Stanford 7-5 over (11) Russell Parsons, Army

Fox's run somewhat makes up for the McKenna loss.
