#2 Michael Beard Decommits From Northwestern
No. 2-ranked prep national champion Michael Beard has changed his mind about attending Northwestern.
It seems to be that time of the year when the top recruit change their minds about their commitments. On Tuesday, three-time Pennsylvania state champion Gavin Teasdale changed his pledge from Iowa to Penn State, and now on Wednesday No. 2-ranked prep national champion Michael Beard has changed his mind about attending Northwestern.
Beard made the announcement via Twitter about his change of heart.

Now that he is back on the market, Beard is looking at a few other schools. However, he is not ruling out the possibility of ending up with the Wildcats. His top three schools include Northwestern, Penn State, and Cornell. Beard projects as a 184- to 197-pounder on the next level and is currently the fifth-ranked recruit on the Class of 2018 Big Board.I have decided to decommit from Northwestern University. I can't thank them enough for the opportunity but I want to explore other options.
