Jacori Teemer Commits To Arizona State
Jacori Teemer has made his verbal commitment.
Jacori Teemer is taking his slickness and heading to Arizona State.
The Fargo champ has made his verbal commitment to the Sun Devils and said that "it just felt like home."
"When I got to Arizona, it just felt right," Teemer said. "The weather was great, and I just felt like it fit. I'm going to major in business, and I toured the business school while I was there and I really liked that too."
Teemer chose ASU over Penn State, NC State, and Virginia Tech.
"I really like what all those teams have to offer," Teemer said. "It's hard not to like what they have going on, but Arizona State is building and really moving forward and that's what made me want to be apart of that team."
Teemer finished off his junior season with a New York state title followed by an NHSCA Junior National title and a FloNational title as well. Now he's looking to continue his success in freestyle again this year after claiming a Fargo title a year ago.
"I just got back home from training with Logan Stieber and all the guys [at NYC Regional Training Center]," he said. "It was great getting to train with all those guys there, and I'm looking forward to wrestling in Akron. I want to make the world team and win a world title."
Teemer, who will look to fit into ASU's lineup at 149/157 pounds, said that his freestyle goals played a hand in his decision as well.

Getting to work with [head coach Zeke Jones] and his great international background along with all the guys like [Jordan Oliver] and Nahshon (Garrett), who did good at the Open helped me make up my mind too. And I talked with Zahid (Valencia) when I was there for my visit too and that helped me make up my mind too when I talked to my parents about everything. It all just felt right, and I knew that it was the right place for me.Teemer finished this season ranked ninth at 132 and is currently 32nd on the Class of 2018 Big Board.
