Justin Mejia Commits To Iowa
It's been quite a recruiting saga for Justin Mejia. The four-time California state champ gave a verbal commitment to Iowa early in his sophomore year, only to de-commit last summer. It now appears Mejia's commitment has come full circle, and he will be a Hawkeye this coming fall. [tweet url="https://twitter.com/jmejia106/status/880126605519011840" hide_media="0" hide_thread="1"]
It was less than two weeks that Mejia indicated an application error led to him getting a full release from Illinois, where he had committed in December. [tweet url="https://twitter.com/jmejia106/status/875854017280131072" hide_media="0" hide_thread="1"]
The Clovis star will get an opportunity to work with new Hawkeye Wrestling Club coach Mark Perry, who had been instrumental in Mejia's original commitment to Illinois. The Illini had always been a part of the process for Mejia after he de-committed.

A 2016 FloNationals runner-up, he ranked 42nd on the final class of 2017 big board and projects as a 133 for Iowa. He bolsters an already stellar incoming group for the Hawkeyes, who finished second in our recruiting class rankings. There will now be five of the Top-80 commits heading to Iowa City.
