Breakout Performances Of Fargo 2016
Every single year in Fargo there are guys that burst onto the scene with great performances. As we approach this year's Cadet & Junior National tournament in anticipation of who will have the eye-opening showing, we look back to last year's huge moments that got everyone clamoring.

Last year there were five guys that really opened our eyes and got everyone's attention. Let's take a look at the big time runs that put these guys front and center.

Tyler Curd, Missouri

First it was the Greco upset over returning champ and Cadet World Team member Cohlton Schultz that shook things up and had people asking who he was after completing his run with the title. Then in Freestyle he introduced everyone to what is now called the "Curd Bomb." The video clip nearly broke the internet and had the WWE even going crazy over it. He wasn't able to come up with another title, but his Greco performance and infamous slam continued to resonate.

Watch Tyler Curd bring out the "Curd Bomb."

Sam Latona, Alabama

Latona showed us how the tide rolls on the mats as he became a double finalist. He finished off his Greco tournament with a strong 10-0 tech fall over Michigan's Andrew Chambal. He followed that up with another appearance in the finals against Cullan Schreiver of Iowa. Ultimately, he came up short against Schreiver, but he definitely proved himself.

Aaron Brooks

Let's just say that this performance had every coach putting his name on their list of recruits. Brooks was a bit of an unknown coming into the tournament because he had jumped a few weight classes since his high school season had end. But as soon as the questions were asked, they were answered. He gave us a taste of what he had in store when he won the Greco title. Then his stock went through the roof when he showed off his gorgeous ankle pick and took out Julian Ramirez in the finals.

Watch Brooks take out Ramirez in the finals.

Jared Franek, North Dakota

Incredible freestyle showing by Franek last year. In his home state, and now his future home after recently committing to wrestle at NDSU, he collecting a thrilling 15-12 win over Markus Hartman of Illinois in the finals. Outside of his final, he had one other match in the entire tournament where he was tested and that was a 12-10 win over Justin McCoy in the quarterfinals. Other than those two bouts, Frank was holistically dominant.

Canten Marriott, Missouri

When you take out a guy that most had pegged to make a run at his second stop sign of the weekend, you'll certainly turn some heads. Marriott started with a pair of shutout techs before a close criteria win almost ended his run before it really took shape. But he came out on top and it set him with California stud Anthony Mantanona, who was fresh off a Greco title, and Marriott got right to business with a 12-2 dismantling of the Oklahoma commit. Marriott stayed flawless and came out with the title which included wins over Josh Ramirez and Owen Pentz to win the title at 170 pounds.

Theorius Robison, Colorado

Ever see someone hit a superduck in Greco? Well, in case you haven't, Theorius Robison has you covered. He was absolutely electrifying in the Greco finals. Coming in he wasn't an unknown guy, but he definitely had people buzzing after he won his Greco title with some serious slickness.

Watch Robison finish in style to win his title at 120.
