No. 6 Joey Melendez Commits To North Carolina
Illinois state champ Joey Melendez has made his verbal commitment.
After a runner-up finish in Fargo at the Junior National Men's Freestyle Championships, No. 6 Joey Melendez has made his verbal commitment to North Carolina.

Melendez is also a two-time Illinois state champion and has twice finished in the top five of the prestigious Walsh Ironman. Melendez becomes the third top 100 recruit in the class of 2018 for the Tar Heels joining No. 51 Brandon Whitman and No. 86 Keaton Kluever.
