Cody Phippen - Aden Reeves To Meet At Night Of Conflict 3
No. 7 Cody Phippen wil invade Carver-Hawkeye Arena looking to once again take Iowa stud and No. 13 Aden Reeves at Night of Conflict 3.
IA Wrestle has pulled out a pair of veterans for our next Night of Conflict matchup presented by The Rudis on Oct. 13 in Iowa City, Iowa. Albia's Aden Reeves returns for his third go-around and will face Missouri prep Cody Phippen, who competed in the inaugural event, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Reeves burst onto the scene as a double Fargo All-American prior to the start of his freshman year, but 2017 has been the best we have seen of him to date. As a sophomore, Reeves won his first state title, downing both Eric Faught and Drake Doolittle, two well-credentialed Iowans, along the way. Reeves picked up a freestyle state championship win over Waukee two-time state champion Kyle Biscoglia and finished his summer with his third straight podium finish at Fargo.
Phippen has also been busy since we last saw him in our first event, including being named a back-to-back state champion, Fargo All-American, Cheesehead finalist, and USA folkstyle national titleholder over the last two years.
The two are familiar with each other as well. Phippen took it to Reeves at Fargo in the consolation semis winning, 12-2. You can watch that match above.
VIP tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through EventBrite. General admission tickets are expected to go on sale later this month. Fans unable to attend the Night of Conflict in person will be able to watch via live stream on FloWrestling.
