Colton Schultz (Colorado) has advanced to the Cadet World Championship finals in Athens Greece. He advances after collecting 2 falls in the opening rounds and a 1-0 victory in the semi finals over Hosseini from Iran.
Colton Schultz has advanced to the Cadet World Championship finals at 100kg in Athens, Greece. The Colorado native booked his spot in the title match after collecting two falls in the opening rounds and a 1-0 victory in the semifinals over Seyedmojta Hosseini from Iran on Monday.
Schultz will face Hungary's Balint Vatzi for the gold medal on Tuesday. Vatzi knocked off Ciprian Il Trufan of Romania 3-1 in the semis to advance to the final.
Schultz is competing in his second world championship this summer and third overall. The Ponderosa High School wrestler represented the USA at the Junior World Championships in Tampere, Finland, last month and was 100kg rep in Tbilisi, Georgia, last summer at Cadet Worlds.
