There were landmines everywhere for the top 20 wrestlers who arrived at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Friday. Below is a list of every upset from the championship brackets during a crazy first day.
141 Round of 64: UR Nick Zanetta, Pitt over No. 9 Javier Gasca, Michigan State
Fourteen top 10 wrestlers went down to lower-ranked guys on Friday. Zanetta got things started by taking out Michigan State's ninth-ranked veteran in a wild 18-15 pigtail bout.
125 Round of 16: UR Will Bardezbain, Kent State over No. 9 Dalton Macri, North Carolina
Bardezbain gave Macri a rude welcome back to his first varsity action of the season.
174 Round of 16: No. 16 CJ Brucki, Central Michigan over No. 8 Brandon Womack, Cornell
