Top 12 Upsets From Week 15 Of College Wrestling
The top 12 upsets from week 15 in DI wrestling featured two #1s going down in Kyle Snyder and Vincenzo Joseph.
One of our staples this season has been bringing you the top upsets of every weekend, typically a 12-pack of them. But this is the first time two separate #1s have gone down in one weekend.
12) Chris Mauriello, Hofstra, 10-9 over #17 BJ Clagon, Rider
The long, slow slide of the Rider All-American continues.
11) Matt Finesilver, Duke, 15-1 over #16 Forrest Przybysz, App State
It's one thing to beat a guy ranked in that #15-20 range, and it's another thing entirely to beat him by 14!
10) Fred Green, Virginia, 6-4 over #16 Solomon Chishko, Virginia Tech
The Boise State transfer picks up the biggest win of his career over Chishko, a two-time All-American who has now gone up in weight mid-year after not looking like himself all season.
9) Casey Sparkman, Kent State, 8-6 over #12 Colin Heffernan, Central Michigan
What? Talk about upsetting the apple cart right before the MAC championships, particularly since Heffernan missed a lot of time this year.
8) Ryan Diehl, Maryland, Fall 2:06 over #11 Tommy Thorn, Minnesota
Every once in a while, Ryan Diehl does something that reminds you that he was once a super stud who beat Jason Nolf; this is one of those times. He hit a Peterson on Thorn, who was running a bar at the time, to get the pin.

7) #20 Rayvon Foley, Michigan State, 10-3 over #10 Drew Mattin, Michigan
Foley was just seconds away from picking up a major in his return to his Ann Arbor home and still looks like the bad draw at Big Tens for 125.
6) Cortlandt Schuyler, Lehigh, 11-3 over #9 Jason Tsirtsis, Arizona State
Right as Tsirtsis takes control of the starting spot and right before the conference tournament, he gets majored by the unranked Schuyler.
5) #19 Andrew Crone, Wisconsin, 11-3 over #8 Tyler Berger, Nebraska
Andrew Crone has now beaten Alec Pantaleo, John Van Brill, and Tyler Berger and also avenged his only Big Ten loss when he beat Kyle Langenderfer this weekend. He's going to get a good seed at Big Tens.
4) #6 Myles Amine, Michigan, 6-5 over #3 Bo Jordan
Amine went from a six-point loss last season to a two-point loss at CKLV to a last-second takedown victory over the three-time All-American.
3) #6 Stevan Micic, Michigan, 11-5 over #2 Luke Pletcher
This one is less about the "upset" aspect and more about the noteworthiness of a #2-ranked wrestler losing a revenge match.
2) #4 Alex Marinelli, Iowa, 9-6 over #1 Vincenzo Joseph, Penn State
On Saturday night, Cenzo became the fifth preseason #1 to go down, thanks in large part to Marinelli countering an inside trip with a bear hug for six.
1) #2 Adam Coon, Michigan, 3-1 over #1 Kyle Snyder, Ohio State
Snyder's last loss in all competitions was nearly a year ago at the World Cup. His last loss collegiately was in March 2015, in the NCAA finals during his true freshman season.
