St. Ed's Looks To Extend NCAA Tournament All-American Streak
St. Ed's Looks To Extend NCAA Tournament All-American Streak
St. Edward's alumni will look to make it 35 years in a row with an All-American at an NCAA Tournament.
There are three guarantees in life: death, taxes, and St. Edward High School having an All-American at an NCAA Tournament.
For the last 35 years, the Lakewood, Ohio, prep school has had at least one alumni finish as an All-American at an NCAA tournament. The past 27 years, that All-American has come at the Division 1 level. In fact, only once during the streak was the All-American not at the Division I level. In fact, in 19 of those years, the Eagles had multiple DI All-Americans.
Take a look at the wrestler's who have kept the streak alive through the years.

The question is how long can this incredible streak continue? All four St. Ed's wrestlers in this year's field are seniors. Next year, the streak will fall upon LJ Bentley (Pitt), Allan Hart (Missouri), Hunter Ladnier (Harvard), and incoming freshman Cody Howard (Virginia Tech).
St. Ed's is currently ranked ninth in the country and will look to win their 35th Ohio state championship this weekend.
