These NCAA Champs Were Once PWC Competitors
The Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic has seen 175 of its former competitors go one to win NCAA Championships over the years.
Let’s face it, there are guys who have made being in the main event a habit.
The proof is right in front of us as we approach another Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic, which sure to feature some of the most high-level prep wrestling we’ve seen all year. But before we get to this Sunday's event, let's take a look back into PWC history.

Since the start of the Classic, formerly known as Dapper Dan, there have been 175 NCAA champions who competed in the high school all-star event. In this year’s NCAA finals, there were 11 former PWC participants and five of them—which are included in the total number above—went home with a national title.
