Edinboro's Tim Flynn Tapped As New Head Coach At West Virginia
Tim Flynn will leave Edinboro after 21 years as head coach to be the new wrestling chief at West Virginia.
After 21 years in charge of Edinboro's wrestling program, Tim Flynn is heading down I-79 to Morgantown, WV, to take over as the new head coach of West Virginia.
Flynn will take over the Mountaineers program after former head coach Sammie Henson did not have his contract renewed last month following four seasons at the helm.
In his 21 seasons with the Fighting Scots, Flynn notched 15 Eastern Wrestling League team championships. He also helped shepherd Edinboro wrestlers to the All-American podium 38 times, including three national champions: Josh Koscheck, Gregor Gillespie, and Jarrod King. The Scots' highest team finish at NCAAs in the Flynn era was in 2015 when they finished third.
