Zeke Moisey has been granted a release from West Virginia. The 2015 NCAA finalist at 125lb was eighth this season at NCAAs in Cleveland and has one season of eligibility remaining.

According to Moisey, right now he is looking at:

Nebraska, Ohio State, Minnesota, and a few others as well.

West Virginia just got a new head coach in Tim Flynn, and Flynn's former 125-pounder at Edinboro in Sean Russell was also supposedly granted a release. It is not clear at this time if Russell will follow Flynn to Morgantown.

Looking at WVU's current roster, the Mountaineers have two other 125-pounders listed: Devin Brown and Joey Thomas. Brown started during the 2016-17 season when Moisey redshirted, and Thomas redshirted this past season. Neither had a winning record during the 2017-18 year, though Thomas did beat Brown at the Clarion Open in November and is likely the favorite to start at this time.

The transfer market continues to grow, as Justin Oliver and Mason Smith from Central Michigan, Austin DeSanto from Drexel, and Sa'Derian Perry of Eastern Michigan are all available to go to new programs.
