Big Boards: Class of 2022 | Class of 2021 | Class of 2020 | Class of 2019

To get an idea of where all the blue-chippers are, we can break down each individual big board by state (specifically by the states in which the high schools the wrestlers attend are located). To give more weight to the higher ranked wrestlers, we can create a simple point scale that awards 100 points to the top-ranked wrestler, 99 points to the second-ranked wrestler, and so forth.

That chart by state and class can be found below.

Pennsylvania is once again leading the pack. New Jersey's upcoming senior class stands out, as does California's sophomores and Georgia's frosh. The rest of the usual suspects round out the top blue-chip recruiting states, with Colorado also making a noteworthy push into the top 10 on the strength of its rising seniors.

And how about a heat map by state for total points across all four classes? I would like nothing more than to provide one right now.

The fertile recruiting territories are all represented in dark green, as expected.

The raw data for these states in both point total and headcount is in the following tables.

And, because we have the data, we can also asses the top 15 schools at producing blue-chip recruits. Those high schools, based on the most recent big boards, by both point total and headcount, are in tables below.

Fargo will undoubtedly bring about changes to all the big boards. Hope to see you there!
