This match has high-power written all over it. It probably features the two most well-known guys on the card.

Jordan Decatur and Josh Saunders are a couple of guys who have competed against the best for quite a while. They also have some similarities in their resumes which you can see below. One thing you’ll also see is that Decatur has some better results, specifically in the two tournaments where they’ve been in the same bracket; however, the deciding factor is Beau Bartlett.

Decatur took a loss to Bartlett at Ironman last season and Saunders claimed a win over him in Akron on the way to claiming the spot on the world team. That one recent common opponent is the deciding factor in why Saunders has the higher ranking.

Anyway, let’s dig into each of their resumes a bit more.

PURCHASE WHO'S #1 TICKETS

#1 Josh Saunders

  • 2018 Cadet World Team Member
  • Missouri State Champ
  • Fargo FS Champ, Greco Runner-up

When you’re still a cadet and you’re taking out college guys, it’s safe to say you’re pretty legit. Saunders showed just how good he is in Las Vegas at the U.S. Open where his lone loss was to eventual champion Austin Gomez in the semifinals. He came back to defeat Vito Arujau on the backside to place third.

#2 Jordan Decatur

  • 2017 Cadet World Team Member
  • Ohio State Champ
  • 2x Fargo Champ
  • Ohio State Commit

Decatur just had one of the wildest Fargo title runs to claim his second stop sign. The Buckeye commit will be making his second appearance in the Snakepit, despite this being the third invite he’s gotten. Last year an injury kept him from competing. The last time he came into WNO at the #2 guy, he left with top spot.

Note: With having both Jordan and Jacob Decatur at this year’s event, it will be the second time that siblings have wrestled at WNO on the same card. Zahid and Anthony Valencia were the first siblings to do so.
