#3 Carter Starocci Commits To Penn State
One of the last major holdouts has announced his commitment to Penn State. Carter Starocci has decided to stay in-state for college.
The Pennsylvania state champ posted his verbal on social media.

Starocci chose the Nittany Lions over Virginia Tech, Minnesota, Arizona State, Ohio State and Michigan.
A double Fargo champ last summer after his 45-3 sophomore campaign in which he was a AAA state runner-up, Starocci went 46-0 this past season for Erie Cathedral Prep. He followed that up with a third place finish at 80kg in Akron and then a fourth place finish at 170 in Fargo. He's currently ranked third at 182 pounds.
Looking at the latest Senior Big Board, Starocci was the highest rated recruit from the Class of 2019 who had not yet verballed. He is the only Top-100 commit for Penn State from this senior class, though they did greyshirt top recruits Aaron Brooks, Michael Beard, Seth Nevills and Joe Lee from the 2018 class.
Starocci and Brooks will likely be at 174 and 184 for the Nittany Lions, in some order. Brooks has competed at two college Opens this year, both at 184, and we have Starocci as the #3 prospect at 174.
