Alex Dieringer gave USA their first champ, and then James Green, Michael Macchiavello, and Forrest Molinari also won bronze medals. Tamyra Mensah-Stock made the finals at 68kg, Jordan Oliver made the finals at 65kg, and Jordan Burroughs made the finals at 74kg.

Representing America will be Nick Heflin at 86kg, Kyle Snyder, Ty Walz, and Kevin Beazley at 97kg, and Nick Gwiazdowski and Mike Kosoy at 125kg.

86kg

The biggest bracket of the tournament has just one American, Nick Heflin. He's back down after spending all of last year at 92kg once they changed the weights. He's been battling injuries for a while so hopefully we see him back at 100 percent. The former Buckeye starts off with Abdulrasul Vakhobov, who was Uzbekistan's starter last year at the world championships.

If he wins, he'll see either Radoslaw Marcinkiewicz of Poland or Gwanuk Kim of South Korea. Kim was a 2016 Olympian who wrestled for bronze in Budapest last October. Marcinkiewicz won bronze at Military Worlds in 2016 and the European Games in 2015.

97kg

The two Americans in the top half of this bracket meet in the first round, as national team member Ty Walz will take on three-time world and Olympic champ Kyle Snyder. The winner should face Murazi Mchelidze in the quarters, a 2017 U23 world bronze from Ukraine. I bet , Ivan Yankouski of Belarus will make the semis, he's back up to 97 after losing to J'den Cox in the 92kg world finals last year.

On the other side is Kevin Beazley, who got third last month at the Schultz. Beazley starts off with Zviadi Metreveli of Georgia, who has just one medal at any tournament in his senior level career. The big name on Beazley's side is 2011 and 2013 world champ Reza Yazdani of Iran, making his first appearance since the 2016 Olympic Games.

125kg

The two Americans in this bracket are both on the bottom side and could meet in the quarters. Dave Schultz champ Mike Kosoy opens against world bronze Parviz Hadi of Iran and then could get world silver Zhiwei Deng of China if he wins. No matter how Kosoy does after that, getting one or both of those wins will be extremely valuable and good for him.

Nick Gwiazdowski's first round opponent is 2016 Olympian Robert Baran, who won a Euro bronze last year for Poland. A win puts him against veteran Fatih Cakiroglu of Turkey, a 2004 Olympian who made back-to-back Euro finals in 2010 and 2011.
