Consi-semis
It's Long Island on Long Island crime with Vito Arujau and Nick Piccininni. In the other consi-semi is NJ vs NJ as Rivera and Glory go at it. Seabass and Glory lighting up the scoreboard, it's 9-7 Glory after 2 periods. Vito leads Pich 2-0 as we go to the third.
Vito wins 4-1. He'll wrestle Seabass who gutted out a high scoring match against Glory.
3rd - Rivera vs Arujau
Vito scored the first takedown and put on a punishing ride. Rivera never turned and then got a reversal in the second to take the lead 4-3. Rivera putting on a ride of his own now. Rivera Arujau in a nutso bonkers scramble. They have both been pinned. No idea how they sort this out. However it was scored, Rivera has a 8-3 lead, now under a minute to go. Sebastian's snaps are too much and Vito can't get anything going. Rivera places third.
5th - Piccininni vs Glory
Lot of orange in this match. Glory scores first out of a long scramble. Pich almost gets a late takedown in the first but he is denied. Or is he? Coach Smith wants a review. Challenge denied. No takedown confirmed. Glory leading 4-2 in the third and gets trapped and pinned. Piccininni places fifth after not placing last season.
7th - Foley vs Bresser
Bresser strikes first and take the 2-0 lead. Foley battles back to take a 4-2 lead in the second and has 1:06 of RT. Bresser starts the third on bottom. It's 4-4 late in the fourth but Foley has RT locked up. Bresser going kitchen sink but Foley ices it with a TD. Michigan State has a 7th place All-American and Bresser finished as a two-time AA.
3rd Place - Sebastian Rivera of Northwestern
4th Place - Vitali Arujau of Cornell
5th Place - Nicholas Piccininni of Oklahoma State
6th Place - Pat Glory of Princeton
7th Place - RayVon Foley of Michigan State

Micic looking to get back on track after Suriano avenged his dual meet loss in the semifinals of the championship round. He's raced out to a 6-2 lead over John Erneste in the first. Micic pouring it on. It's 16-3 in the third, Stevan looking for the tech. He'll settle for a major and will wrestle for a bronze medal.
Pletcher DeSanto in a battle of Keystone Staters. Short time TD for DeSanto makes it 2-1 after the first. DeSanto also got hit with a hands to the face penalty. It's 3-3 after two periods, RT not a factor. Clutch takedown from Pletcher to go ahead 7-6 with 17 seconds left on the clock. Pletcher rides out for the victory and will wrestle for third. The many Buckeye fans in attendance loudly applaud.
3rd - Stevan Micic vs Luke Pletcher
Micic beat Pletcher 14-1 in a dual meet this season, but that was a long time ago. Micic gets a takedown at the buzzer to take a 2-0 lead into the second period. MIcic up 5-1 in the third. It's by a smaller margin than last time, but Micic gets it done 6-1 and places third.
5th - John Erneste vs Austin DeSanto
Lots of action but no scores after 2 minutes. DeSanto holds a 4-3 advantage midway through the second. 6-4 DeSanto going into the third in neutral, RT at 0:57 for Austin. DeSanto wins 11-6 to finish fifth. Erneste closes out his career for Mizzou as an All-American.
7th - Ethan Lizak vs Roman Bravo-Young
RBY gets the crucial first takedown against the Backpack. Lizak escapes, though, and gets the next takedown. Lizak gets back points, but then gives up a reversal. It's 7-4 in favor of Lizak at the end of an eventful first period. Lizak chooses top in the last period of regulation of his NCAA career. He gives up a stall point but Lizak finishes his career fittingly with a 3rd period rideout. Lizak is a three-time All-American.
3rd Place - Stevan Micic of Michigan

It's Big Ten vs MAC as Eierman takes on McKee. It's 3-2 in favor of Eierman, who also has over a minute of RT, after the first. Eierman up 7-4 late in the third.
Demas gets the first takedown over Lee. 6-3 Demas in the second, Demas leading the takedown battle 3-0 and has choice in the third. Locked hands on Demas makes it 6-4. An escape from Lee makes it a one point match. Inside trip in super short time makes it 8-5 going to the third. Demas begins underneath. Lee with his first takedown to make it 10-7, after Demas is let up. 1 minute to go. Late TD for Demas ices it. Demas will wrestle for third after a 13-9 victory.
3rd - Dom Demas vs Jaydin Eierman
This should be a fun one. Two awesome styles to watch. Perhaps I spoke too soon, we have a scoreless first period. Eierman rode Demas out in the second. Yeah not much action so far. Demas lets Eierman go in the third. 1-0 Eierman but RT is locked up. Eierman stays away from Demas for the duration of this yawn-inducing third place bout to take third.
5th - Mich McKee vs Nick Lee
Lee won big when these two met in the Big Ten Championships. Lee scores the first TD. Lee catches McKee and gets the fall, as the very large Penn State crowd goes wild. McKee is an All-American for the first time in three tries. Lee goes back-to-back fifths in two attempts.
7th - Chad Red vs Kyle Shoop
A couple of surprise All-Americans in this bout. Though Red was an AA last season, he spent most of the season outside of the top 20 after a rocky start to the season. Shoop was not ranked at all this year, but that is perhaps an error on behalf of the rankers.
Shoop scores first. Shoop with another TD in short time to take a 4-1 lead into the second. Shoop opening it up against Red in the second. 4 near fall makes it 8-1, and the impressive Lock Haven contingent, conveniently located in the section nearest the 7th place mat, uproariously cheer. Shoop makes a statement with his 11-3 victory over Chad Red.
3rd Place - Jaydin Eierman of Missouri
4th Place - Dom Demas of Oklahoma
5th Place - Nick Lee of Penn State
6th Place - Mitch McKee of Minnesota

Brock Mauller vs Austin O'Connor gets underway. As does the other consi-semi, Matt Kolodzik vs Mitch Finesilver, a big brain battle between Princeton and Duke.
AOC escapes with a second to spare to make the consolation finals over Mauller. Finesilver leads Kolodzik 1-0 and has over a minute of riding time. Shades of Kolodzik's semifinal match with Ashnault.
3rd - Austin O'Connor vs Mitch Finesilver
For the sixth time this season, O'Connor and Mitch Finesilver will wrestle. Finseilver leads the series 3-2 but AOC won the most important bout in the quarterfinals. O'Connor leads 6-2 after the second, as the Tar Heel looks to even the season series, but more important take third at the NCAAs. Finesilver gets a takedown to get within 1 with 30 to go. Finesilver cuts him, is in on a shot, but no takedown. They will review to make sure. No TD, O'Connor take third, Finesilver is an AA for the first time as a senior.
5th - Matt Kolodzik vs Brock Mauller
Kolod-zilla races out to a 4-2 lead. Make it a 7-3 lead for Kolo in the second. Kolodzik in command the whole time, take fifth with a 10-6 victory.
7th - Pat Lugo vs Jarrett Degen
Lugo scores two uncharacteristic takedowns in the first period. He leads 4-1 in the first. Lugo looks sharp, leads 6-3 in the second. Degen storms back, its 8-8 after the second in a wild one. Degen completes the comeback with a clutch takedown and rideout.
3rd Place - Austin O`Connor of North Carolina
4th Place - Mitch Finesilver of Duke
5th Place - Matthew Kolodzik of Princeton
6th Place - Brock Mauller of Missouri
7th Place - Jarrett Degen of Iowa State

Big Ten rivalry going on between Alec Pantaleo and Kaleb Young. Pantaleo has the only takedown and leads 3-1 with a minute to go. Pantaleo gets some insurance points with another late takedown and he will win 6-2.
Deakin and Hidlay begins. Hidlay jumps out to a 4-1 lead in the first. Makes that 6-1 after a quick 2 count tilt. Hilday in command, leading 8-2 deep in the third. Hidlay cruises to victory.
3rd - Hayden Hidlay vs Alec Pantaleo
Pantaleo strikes first, goes up 2-1 after a Hidlay escape. Pantelo wants pacakes but Hidlay won't flip for it. It's 2-2 late in the second. Clutch TD from Pantaleo to tkae the 5-2 lead, 5-3 with the escape. 10 seconds to go, and Pantelo takes third, his best finish ever for the three-time All-American. Tremendous career for Pantaleo.
5th - Ryan Deakin vs Kaleb Young
Young gets the first takedown. Deakin gets a takedown in the second to tie it up 3-3. Deakin escapes to take the 4-3 lead. Young with the takedown and Deakin with the escape and we're tied in short time. A mad scramble, Deakin is awarded two just as time expires. They will review with fifth place on the line. Call overturned, but Coach Storniolo wants to check to see if Deakin had a takedown before the final sequence. The refs say he did not so we go to sudden victory. Young shoots, they fall to their hips, Deakin can't stop him, and Young will take fifth. Excellent match from both wrestlers.
7th - Christian Pagdilao vs Larry Early
Pags scores the TD and leads 2-1 after Early gets the escape point. Pagdilao will take it 3-2, as the senior Sun Devil ends his college career with a win.
3rd Place - Alec Pantaleo of Michigan
4th Place - Hayden Hidlay of NC State
5th Place - Kaleb Young of Iowa
6th Place - Ryan Deakin of Northwestern
7th Place - Christian Pagdilao of Arizona State

Isaiah White vs Evan Wick begins, as does Chance Marsteller and Josh Shields. White leading 2-1 with RT in the second. Chance leads Shields 2-1 going into the third. Chance chooses bottom. Chance gets it done with a 4-3 victory, delighting the many Lock Haven fans in attendance. Wick with a go-ahead takedown late in the third gives Wick a clutch victory. Wick and Marsteller already met in the tournament and it did not end well for Marsteller.
3rd - Evan Wick vs Chance Marsteller
Wick pinned Marsteller in the quarterfinals, and in the 2018 3rd place bout. No pins in the first two periods. It's 2-2 as we go to the third. Wick chooses top, RT not a factor yet. Marsteller turns it on in the third. A reversal and takedown give him a 6-4 lead with 18 seconds to go. Hands to the face makes it 6-5 though. Marsteller dances away from danger to secure the third-place finish as the Lock Haven fans shower their man with approbation. Big applause from the entire arena as Marsteller ends his career as a two-time American.
5th - Isaiah White vs Josh Shields
White jumps out to a 2-0 lead. Make it a 5-2 lead in the second, White amassing 1:22 of RT. White up by three late in the third. And White wins, 8-4 the official score.
7th - Alex Marinelli vs Bryce Steiert
#1 seed Marinelli suffered too upsets, to Mekhi Lewis and Chance Marsteller, to wind up in the 7th place bout. He leads Steiert 5-2. Marinelli shakes off the upsets and cruises to a 7th place finish.
3rd Place - Chance Marsteller of Lock Haven
4th Place - Evan Wick of Wisconsin
5th Place - Isaiah White of Nebraska
6th Place - Joshua Shields of Arizona State
7th Place - Alex Marinelli of Iowa
8th Place - Bryce Steiert of Northern Iowa

McFadden vs Lewis starts up as does Amine vs Labriola. Amine leads 3-2 going into the second. Lewis has a 2-0 lead and a lot of RT late in the first. Lewis leads 3-0 going into the third, which will start in neutral. Amine leads Labs 4-3 and has RT locked up with 15 seconds left on the clock. Time expires and Amine will wrestle for third. Lewis with a 3rd period takedown to ice it. He'll see Amine in the third-place bout.
3rd - Daniel Lewis vs Myles Amine
Amine is 2-0 lifetime against Lewis in college. Amine leads 2-1 after 3 minutes of wrestling. 2-2 now in the second. Reversal in the third makes it 4-2 Amine with less than a minute to go. Amine will take it and is a three-time All-American. Lewis is a four-time All-American. Amazing career for the Mizzou Tiger. Amine can become a four-timer next season.
5th - Mikey Labriola vs David McFadden
Labs and McFads wrestle a scoreless first. 1-0 Labs after two. McFadden on bottom. Reversal from McFadden gives him the 2-1 lead and has over a minute of RT. Now Labs returns the favor with a RT to regain the lead. 1:15 to, RT also at 1:15 for McFadden. Labriola riding tough, McFadden has 13 seconds to get out on a restart. Granby from McFadden, he gets the reversal in the final seconds. Incredible finish, great bout.
7th - Jordan Kutler vs Devin Skatzka
Kutler scores first to make it 2-0. Skatzka starts the second on bottom trailing 2-1. Kutler riding tough, has 1:30 and climbing half way through the second. Kutler leading 4-1 with an ocean of riding time in the third. Kutler is a two-time All-American. He wins 5-1.
3rd Place - Myles Amine of Michigan
4th Place - Daniel Lewis of Missouri
5th Place - David McFadden of Virginia Tech
6th Place - Mikey Labriola of Nebraska
7th Place - Jordan Kutler of Lehigh
8th Place - Devin Skatzka of Minnesota

Preisch vs Ness begins in a classic Patriot League vs ACC rivalry. Preisch leads 1-0 in the third. Clutch takedown on a counter attack from Preisch gives him a 3-0 lead with 30 to go in regulation. Preisch advances to the consi-finals. He will wrestle either Myles Martin or Emery Parker, whose match just began.
Scoreless first period between Martin and Parker. First TD of the match comes in the third to give MyMar the 3-1 lead. Martin with a late takedown to seal the deal and advance to the third place match.
3rd - Myles Martin vs Ryan Preisch
Martin the number one seed trying to finish his legendary career with a win. He leads first-time All-American senior Ryan Preisch 2-0. 3-1 now in the second. Preisch escapes in the third to cut the lead to one. A quick takedown by Martin puts the lead back up to 3. Martin finishes his career with a third place finish. Preisch finishes his career in fourth place.
5th - Emery Parker vs Chip Ness
Parker racing out to an 8-2 lead. Parker will coast to an 11-5 victory and a fifth place finish.
7th - Dakota Geer vs Zack Zavatsky
ZZ Top scores first to lead 2-1. Geer ties it in the second. Reversal from Zavatsky in the third makes it 4-2. Geer with a clutch reversal to finish seventh.
3rd Place - Myles Martin of Ohio State
4th Place - Ryan Preisch of Lehigh
5th Place - Emery Parker of Illinois
6th Place - Chip Ness of North Carolina
7th Place - Dakota Geer of Oklahoma State
8th Place - Zachary Zavatsky of Virginia Tech

Milkus vs Weigel gets the 197-pounders going. Hokit vs Brucki gets going just as Weigel picks up the fall over Miklus. Miklus gets up holding his shoulder, hopefully it doesn't keep him out of the sixth-place bout.
Brucki gets a takedown for a 2-0 lead in the first. Brucki now leads 3-2 in the third in this classic Ivy league-Mountain West rivalry. Brucki wins 8-3 and a nice contingent of Tiger fans in the upper level cheer wildly.
3rd - Preston Weigel vs Pat Brucki
Two pretty big dudes out there on the third place mat. I think Weigel just hit a winn-dixie for 6 points. Weigel coasts to a 7-1 win after the RT point is tacked on. Oklahoma State upper weights finishing strong.
5th - Willie Miklus vs Josh Hokit
Hokit is the first AA for Fresno State since they brought back their program. Miklus shook off what looked like a hurt shoulder for one more college match. Miklus escapes in the second for the first point of the match, but also did get warned for stalling in the first period. It's 1-1 late in the third as Hokit and Miklus get into a crazy scramble. Don't know what to make of it but no takedown is awarded. FSU coach Steiner wants a challenge. No takedown, we get overtime!
More incredible scrambles but defense prevails and there are no points in sudden victory. Miklus escapes quickly in the first tiebreaker sesh. In the second sesh, Hokit catches Miklus in a headlock and will get a reversal and more. Swipes make it 7-2 final in tiebreakers. Willie Miklus is a four-time All-American. Josh Hokit is an All-American for the first time, and now the mayor of Fresno State.
7th - Ben Honis vs Jacob Warner
Warner has a leg of Honis in the air and finishes on the edge for the first 2 points of the match. Warner extends his lead to 4, he's up 7-3 late in the third. Warner takes it to the delight of the Hawkeye fans. Kudos to Honis for stepping up for an injured Ben Darmstadt and ending up on the podium.
3rd Place - Preston Weigel of Oklahoma State
4th Place - Patrick Brucki of Princeton
5th Place - Josh Hokit of Fresno State
6th Place - William Miklus of Iowa State
7th Place - Jacob Warner of Iowa
8th Place - Benjamin Honis of Cornell

The rumbling in the arena is from Steveson and Hemida's match. Steveson leads 2-1 in the second. Steveson takes it 6-2.
Wood takes a 2-1 lead into the second period. Wood wins 7-3 and will wrestle Steveson for bronze.
3rd - Gable Steveson vs Jordon Wood
Steveson has beaten Wood on numerous occasions, in multiple styles, and in high school and college. Steveson scores the first points with a takedown. it's 3-0 in the third, RT locked up for Steveson. Gable cruises to a third place medal. Both Steveson and Wood earn their first All-American honor.
5th - Youssif Hemida vs Amar Dhesi
The last match for both multiple time All-Americans. Dhesi takes a 2-1 lead into the second. Dhesi leads 4-1 with a minute left of regulation. Dhesi takes it, finishing an excellent career as a three-time All-American, going 5, 3, 5 in placements. Hemida fittingly allows McCoy to step down as head coach of the Terrapins with a two-time All-American heavyweight.
7th - Matt Stencel vs Trent Hillger
Two very promising young heavies battle for seventh. Stencel escapes in the second to break up the double-bagels on the scoreboard. Stencel trying to rideout the third for the win. Hillger looking for the match tying escape. Hillger gets out, but a clutch takedown for Stencel in short time gives the Chippewas a seventh place medal.
3rd Place - Gable Steveson of Minnesota
4th Place - Jordan Wood of Lehigh
5th Place - Amar Dhesi of Oregon State
6th Place - Youssif Hemida of Maryland
7th Place - Matt Stencel of Central Michigan
8th Place - Trent Hillger of Wisconsin
