#2 Clayton Ulrey Commits To Virginia Tech
#2 Clayton Ulrey, a 2019 Cadet world teamer in men's freestyle, has verbally committed to wrestle for the Virginia Tech Hokies in college.

The finest mullet in high school wrestling will soon be wearing maroon and orange in college as Clayton Ulrey has committed to Virginia Tech.
I am super excited to announce that I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at Virginia Tech! Very thankful for the opportunity. #thisishome #gohokies pic.twitter.com/L5hcRd3XW6

Currently ranked second at 170 pounds, the fluffed and feathered middleweight was a runner-up in big school Pennsylvania this year for Lower Dauphin, following up a fifth place finish as a sophomore. He was third at Super 32 last year and will be looking for his first belt next month in Greensboro.
Ulrey's verbal gives the Hokies four Top-25 recruits from the Class of 2020, joining Sammy Hillegas (PA), Eddie Ventresca (NJ), and Hunter Catka (PA), along with #75 Sammie Fisher (VA). As you can see, the coaching staff is recruiting well in the Keystone State right now.
The rising senior projects as either a 165 or 174 at the next level, depending on what weights Connor Brady and Bryce Andonian end up going. Right now we have him as the third best prospect at 174lbs.
Coming off the heels of the #5 ranked recruiting class, VT looks to be in the top three or four this year. The momentum of their first national champ has clearly paid dividends in attracting talent to Blacksburg.
