Here are the top reasons you should tune in.

1) Max Thomsen vs Brock Mauller
Two All-Americans, and each has one win over the other. Who will win the grudge match? In last year’s UNI Missouri dual, Thomsen beat Mauller 9-3, but it was Mauller who came away with the OT victory at NCAAs.
This matchup is interesting. Thomsen is 14-4 and coming off a runner-up performance at Midlands. Mauller is 14-1 so far this year with a 40-percent bonus rate. Mauller really is a mauler and Thomsen is as tough as they come. This one is hard to predict, but it's going to be fun.
2) West Gym Rules
My friend Danny Nomes once wrote Everyone Should Go Watch A Dual In West Gym Before They Die and I couldn’t agree more. The community in Cedar Falls cares and supports UNI wrestling. West Gym is a small, old, and historic gym that Iowans pack and make a hot, sweaty, loud mess.
This crowd loves a win! #PantherTrain’s Logan Ryan beats ISU’s Chase Straw, 3-1 just as the buzzer sounds! pic.twitter.com/MQ7OaqmquY

It’s not Carver-Hawkeye or Rec Hall in terms of size, but it fires up the Panthers and can affect opposing teams. And while watching it on your TV screen, laptop, phone, or tablet isn’t the same as being there, it is the next best thing!
3) Taylor Lujan vs Dylan Wisman
These two haven’t wrestled since back in 2017 when both wrestlers were in the MAC and at 174 lbs. Lujan holds a 2-0 advantage, but Wisman put up a fight in their 11-8 barnburner at the MAC Championships. Lujan is the clear favorite here, but don’t just watch hoping Wisman can pull off the upset (which he very well could). Lujan is one of the most electric and exciting wrestlers to watch, even when he wins big. Lujan never gets tired, attacks from every position, frequently gets into good scrambles, and can score from pretty much anywhere. Watch Lujan major #6 Taylor Venz last time he competed inside West Gym.
