The Cowboys added another piece to an already solid recruiting class as Victor Voinovich committed to Oklahoma State today.

Victor Voinovich, the #15 ranked prospect on Flo’s 2021 big board, has verballed to wrestle for the Cowboys.

The Ohio state champ and Fargo runner-up chose Oklahoma State over Cornell, Ohio State, Penn State, and others. Voinovich, who achieved the #1 overall ranking at 145 pounds this summer after knocking off Jesse Vasquez is currently ranked #8 at his weight class and projects as a college 149 or 157.

This is the fourth commitment for the 2021 class for Oklahoma State as the Cowboys have already landed numbers 9 and 10, Travis Mastrogiovanni and Kyle Haas, along with #56 Teague Travis.

This comes on the heels of the Cowboys’ top recruiting class for 2020 which consisted of the following.

RankWeightNameState
10197AJ FerrariTX
11184Dustin PlottOK
13133Trevor MastrogiovanniNJ
54133Jakason BurksNE
63174Luke SurberOK
90285Konner DoucetOK

125Alex YokubaitisLA

165Elise Brown TonTX

184Trevor DoppsKS

197Daniel JezikIL

Voinovich is an ideal size fit as the Cowboys seem to have covered most the bases for the upperweights and lowerweights with that 2020 class and Voinovich looks like he should fit right in the middle.

This will likely also put OSU as the leader in the clubhouse to land the younger brother of Victor, Cael Voinovich, who is currently ranked #19 on the Junior High Big Board.
