#34 Braxton Brown Commits To Maryland
Three-time Texas state champion, Braxton Brown, has made his college decision.
Another top 100 recruit in the class of 2021 is off the board. Three-time Texas state champion, Braxton Brown, took to Instagram to announce where he will be wrestling at on the next level.
Brown had the following to say when making his announcement:
I want to thank everyone who has supported me and been there for me through my life, I am super excited to announce that I will continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Maryland #terps. I personally what to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches who have pushed me to be who I am today. #marylandwrestling
Brown, who will be aiming for his fourth state this season, wrestles for powerhouse Allen which has also produced Oliver Pierce, Bo Nickal, Ophir Bernstein, Braeden Redlin, and most recently AJ Ferrari. Brown currently sits at #34 on the class of 2021 Big Board and is ranked #3 at 113. Brown has had plenty off success on the national scene as well taking fourth the past two years at Super 32. His only two blemishes last season while wrestling for Allen came to #1 Joey Cruz in matches that were each decided by two points.

Brown is now the third Big Boarder that Alex Clemsen and company have secured a verbal commitment from in the class of 2021 joining #74 Jaxon Smith of Woodland, Georgia and #87 Adrien Cramer of Greyslake, Illinois. Brown projects as a 125-pounder and chose Maryland over Little Rock, Missouri, NC State, Ohio State, and Virginia.
