Austin Gomez announced his intent to transfer out of Iowa State in April and has since been contacted by a number of programs including Wisconsin, UNI, Wyoming, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Iowa.

Just a month later, Gomez has 4 visits scheduled and could soon be lining up a fifth. He’s officially scheduled to visit Wisconsin, Iowa, Oklahoma State, and Wyoming over the coming weeks. Also, NC State has entered the conversation with Gomez and he is considering a visit to Raleigh this summer. 

Gomez was the #11 overall recruit out of the class of 2017 and reached the round of 12 at the NCAA Tournament for Iowa State in 2019. After battling injuries the last 2 seasons, he’s looking to move up from 133 to 141 and could have an immediate impact for any of the above schools.
