Fargo Roster Release: Wisconsin Rolling Deep
Fargo Roster Release: Wisconsin Rolling Deep
America's Dairyland is bringing a couple huge mens' teams and two small but talented women's teams to Fargo
Wisconsin brought a monster squad to Fargo in 2019, finishing top 10 in every style except Junior women where they finished 11th. This year will be no different. The boys are bringing huge squads from both Junior and 16U, and what the girls’ rosters lack in quantity, they’re making up for in quality. The Wisconsin women will be bringing 10 nationally ranked wrestlers including Olympic Trials finalist Kylie Welker.
Missouri commit Clayton Whiting will be the highest-ranking guy for Wisconsin. He picked up his 3rd state title in as many tries earlier this year. Finishing 3rd at 16U 160 at Fargo in 2019, he’s also proven he can get it done on the national stage.
Watch Clayton Whiting win his 3rd place match at Fargo 2019 below.
Matt Bianchi and Mitchell Mesenbrink are also in the top 10 nationally. One weight lower at 145, Bianchi will be attending Little Rock next fall. He had an impressive showing at Junior Duals going 7-1 and only losing to Iowa’s Caleb Rathjen. Mesenbrink is just a junior and still uncommitted.
Just outside of the top 10 is sophomore Braeden Scoles. He also went 7-1 at Junior Duals earlier this summer and is already a 2X Wisconsin state champion.

16U 220 - Koy Hopke
While Wisconsin won’t have any 16U wrestlers in the national rankings, there will still be a handful of guys to keep an eye on. Haakon Peterson is an incoming freshman that could finish high on the podium at a weight class like 88 lbs. Reid Spurley is a freshman who finished 3rd at Folkstyle Nationals in April. Cole and Connor Mirasola are a set of upper-weight freshman twins. Connor won a state title this year and Cole went 8-0 at 16U Duals. Koy Hopke is another freshman that went undefeated at 16U Duals.
