First Who's Number One Women's Match Announcement Is A Big One
We're rolling out the women's Who's Number One card with a bang! Cadet World bronze medalist vs Fargo double champ.
For the first time ever, Who’s Number One will have its own full lineup of women’s matches. The first match we are happy to announce is Audrey Jimenez vs Paige Morales for the top spot at 106 lbs.
Jimenez will be defending the #1 spot. She earned her top spot by taking out Nyla Valencia and Faith Cole at the Women’s National Championships in May. Jiminez dominated the entire tournament only giving up one point and putting up 44 of her own. The performance earned her the OW award. At the World Championships Jiminez won a bronze medal only falling to Switzerland 8-6 in the semifinals.

Jimenez also made history this winter when she became the first female to win a state title for high school powerhouse Sunnyside in Tucson, Arizona.
Morales took third place in the same Women’s Nationals bracket that Jimenez won. Although she wasn’t able to go and win a World medal for Team USA this summer, she did the next best thing: win two Fargo titles. That’s right, the Clovis, California, native doubled up and won both 16U and Junior this July.

With Morales dropping a one-point match to Faith Cole in the semis, we didn’t get to see this match at Women’s Nationals. But it will officially go down September 17th live on FloWrestling.
