Hanna Errthum and Janida Garcia To Determine #1 Spot At Who's Number One
In a rematch from May, either Hanna Errthum or Janida Garcia will be able to call themselves the #1 wrestler in the country at 132 lbs after WNO.
With the top two girls at 132 graduating and heading off to college, #3 Hanna Errthum and #4 Janida Garcia will square off to determine who is now the best girl in the country at the weight.
The two actually met at Women’s Nationals back in May with Errthum winning a pretty entertaining 11-6 bout.
Watch Errthum and Garcia’s 2021 Women’s Nationals match below.
Because of that match, Errthum will go into Who’s Number one with the higher ranking and as the favorite. After that tournament, Errthum had a solid showing at Junior Duals going 4-1, and solid Fargo as well taking 3rd in 16U and runner-up in Junior.
Watch Errthum make the Junior Fargo finals below.
After competing at 61 kg (134.4 lbs) at Women’s Nationals, Garcia cut down to 127 for Fargo where she finished in 3rd place. Now, she’s moving back up to 132 where she made the Folkstyle Nationals finals and put on such a performance at the USA Wrestling Tour of America - Stockyard Stampede that she earned USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week honors.
So, will Garcia make the needed adjustments to reverse the result from Women’s Nationals? Or will Errthum double down and prove she’s now number one? Find out September 17th on FloWreslting.
