Two Of The Nation's Best Sophomores Will Square Off At 117 lbs At WNO
Two young stars, Zao Estrada and Cadence Diduch, will put it on the line for the right to call themselves the best wrestler in the country at 117 lbs.
The September 17th women’s Who’s Number One card is really starting to come together. The fifth match we’re are happy to announce on the card is Cadence Diduch vs Zao Estrada at 117 lbs.
Both just sophomores, Diduch and Estrada are two young future stars in the sport of women’s wrestling. Currently #2 and #9 in the rankings at 112, the two will be moving up to put on a show at 117. Both wrestlers have actually already proven they can wrestle at a national level at the weight class. Diduch won Fargo at the weight in July and Estrada went undefeated at Junior Duals at the weight before moving back down for Fargo.

Hailing from Freeport, Illinois, and representing Alber Athletics Wrestling Club, Diduch won an Illinois girl’s state title in June before riding that momentum all the way to the top of the Fargo podium.
Estrada has been on the national wrestling scene since she was a young child and is now reaping the benefits of her hard work. In March she won a Girls Folkstyle Nationals title by teching or pinning all of her opponents. At Fargo this summer she teched all of her opponents before dropping a tough 4-2 in the finals.

Now, Estrada will be seeking to get back on the winning track and prove she’s the #1 wrestler in the country at 117 lbs. It all goes down on September 17th and 18th on FloWrestling.
